For the launch of their new Collective Rewards program, Victoria’s Secret wanted to create an engaging in-store opportunity to encourage customer signups. To meet this need, Outform offered the PodDrop retail sampling solution, which provides shoppers with immediate rewards through the form of product samples in exchange for their data.

PodDrop units were disbursed across multiple Victoria’s Secrets locations in the United States with a dedicated Outform team member assigned to each store to encourage a smooth delivery and installation process. The PodDrop units featured a colorful print graphic and custom-designed pods to ensure all aspects were in line with the look and feel of the retailer’s Collective Rewards program.

Customers were encouraged to scan a QR code on the front of the PodDrop unit, which allowed them to sign up for the Collective Rewards program. Customers were then rewarded with a pod containing a coupon for a free piece of lingerie, which they could redeem in store during their visit. Each PodDrop featured powerful backend technology that provided valuable analytics about how the units behaved in store, including how many scans each unit received, how many pods were dispensed, and how many pods remained.

The program proved to be a success, creating engagement with in-store shoppers, providing them with an instant gratification through the form of a free gift, and increasing loyalty program sign-ups to meet the goal of Victoria Secret’s Collective Rewards program campaign.
