Outform partnered with Titleist to create an immersive retail and fitting experience at the iconic Pinehurst Golf Resort, marking Titleist’s first standalone brand store in the United States. Located on the resort’s historic main campus, the project required a delicate balance between modern retail innovation and Pinehurst’s deeply rooted heritage. Outform led the execution from end to end—overseeing strategy, design, production, logistics, installation, and post-install maintenance—to deliver a space that honors tradition while embracing the future of golf retail. 

A key part of the design process included a virtual reality stage, which served as an integral step in finalizing the store’s layout and experience. This immersive tool allowed stakeholders to visualize the space in detail before production, ensuring every element aligned with both Titleist’s premium identity and Pinehurst’s historic character.

The store features a complete buildout with custom-designed fixtures that reflect Titleist’s premium brand identity while seamlessly integrating with Pinehurst’s architectural and cultural aesthetic. One of the standout elements is The Dial, a dedicated fitting simulator bay where golfers can test equipment in a controlled, data-rich environment. This space enhances both the shopping and performance experience, allowing visitors to engage with Titleist’s products in a meaningful and personalized way. 

Shoppers can explore a full range of Titleist offerings, including clubs from iconic collections like Scotty Cameron and Vokey, as well as golf balls, gear, apparel, and accessories. A custom golf ball engraving kiosk adds a layer of personalization, enabling guests to create bespoke products on-site. Technological enhancements throughout the store include full-size and custom LED screens, interactive touchscreens with product selector tools, remotely managed digital signage, and a bespoke split-flap display that adds a nostalgic yet dynamic visual element. 

This on-course retail destination is designed to serve golfers for years to come, offering a seamless blend of tradition and technology. From interactive screens and QR codes to dynamic content delivery, every detail was crafted to elevate the shopper journey and reinforce Titleist’s commitment to excellence. The result is a flagship store that not only enhances the Pinehurst experience but also sets a new benchmark for golf retail environments.
